Hi there, I am Dr. Laura (she/her), post-doctoral resident and therapist based in South Tampa.
Attending therapy for the first or hundredth time can bring about discomfort or uncertainty when working with a new therapist. As your clinician, my first goal will be to create a warm, trusting, and secure therapeutic environment where you can feel safe to be your most authentic self.
After identifying your goals, we will combine your personal strengths with evidence-based interventions as we collaborate to establish your customized treatment plan and begin our journey to make the long-lasting changes you've been hoping for.
My clinical work is focused on concerns related to: anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, self-esteem/identity, body image/disordered eating, medical stress, bipolar disorder (I/II), and personality disorders.
I have specialized training in working with young adults with autism spectrum (PEERS for Young Adults trained) and couples (Gottman Level 1 certified). I also have extensive experience working with college students.
For self-care, I enjoy traveling and exploring the outdoors with my husband, 3 children, and our Maltese, Emma who occasionally makes her appearance during Telehealth sessions.
